How Stringing Works

Getting your racket restrung with us takes three steps.
1. Pick your string.
Browse our stringing range. Each string type has coach notes on what it's best for — control, power, spin, durability. If you're unsure, our buying guide walks through the choices.
2. Pick your area and tension.
On any string product, select Norfolk or London. This determines which stringer does the work — and the price reflects the local labour rate (Norfolk is £5 cheaper on every string job).
Then pick your tension in the "How tight would you like it?" dropdown.
- 48–52 lbs — more power, softer feel
- 52–55 lbs — standard club player range
- 56–60 lbs — more control, precision play
Not sure? 54 lbs is a safe middle ground.
3. Drop off (or wait for us to arrange).
Norfolk: bring your racket to Eaton Park, Norwich NR4 7AU. We'll email you when it's ready — usually within 2–4 days. Bring your order confirmation.
London: our stringer contacts you within 24 hours of order to arrange collection.
Adding stringing to a racket purchase
If you're buying a racket and booking stringing in the same order:
- Norfolk customers can pick both up together in one visit — the "walk in, walk out with a strung racket" experience.
- London customers — the racket ships to you separately; take it to the London stringer for stringing when they contact you.
Turnaround
Most jobs complete within 2–4 days. Hybrids and unusual tensions can take an extra day. Email lands the moment it's ready.
Not sure which string?
See our buying guide or contact us — we coach for a living, so we can recommend based on your game, not a spec sheet.
