Polyesters have become more and more common after the expansion of powerful racquets. Players are hitting harder and harder, therefore a solution had to be found to control their shots, but above all, avoid breaking string too quickly.
In play, the advantage is its durability and stiffness. Using polyester makes sense for the player who is breaking their string often. For most people, it will create a lot of arm fatigue due to its stiffness.
This type of string should only be used by experienced players and in rackets that are 295 grams and above.
